Air source heat pumps

Heat pumps only perform well when the system is designed around the house. We carry out heat loss calculations, radiator checks and controls planning before a unit is specified. If the property is not ready for a heat pump, we will say so.

Process

How this work is handled.

  1. 01

    Feasibility check

We look at insulation, emitter sizes, hot water storage and outdoor unit placement before recommending a route.

  2. 02

    System design

The design sets flow temperatures, cylinder requirements, radiator upgrades and controls so the system can run efficiently.

  3. 03

    Install and commission

The heat pump, cylinder and controls are installed, tested and commissioned against the design.

  4. 04

    Optimisation

After use in real conditions, we review settings and adjust the curve so comfort and efficiency are balanced.

Included

What you can expect.

  • Designed before sold. No generic unit sizing or guesswork based on the old boiler.

  • Grant guidance. We guide eligible homeowners through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme process.

  • Lower temperature ready. Radiators, pipework and controls are checked against heat pump running conditions.

  • Aftercare included. The system is tuned after installation rather than left on factory defaults.

Pricing

Estimates follow a site visit. Full system quotes usually sit between £6k and £18k depending on specification, controls and cylinder work. We do not quote sight unseen.
